Gutmann appoints Walter Schwarz as a member of the Management Board

The Supervisory Board of Bank Gutmann AG has appointed Walter Schwarz as a member of the Management Board with effect from 1 March 2026. He will be responsible for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions, Compliance, Risk Management and Legal.

With the decision to expand the Management Board, Gutmann is strengthening central functions that are essential for the responsible and future-oriented further development of the company.

Regulatory requirements in the financial services sector are constantly evolving. The establishment of a separate department at Management Board level emphasises Gutmann's commitment to taking these framework conditions into account appropriately and ensuring the highest standards in all areas of governance.

Walter Schwarz is a trained lawyer and has extensive experience in leading Austrian and international financial institutions, with a particular focus on private banking. With his background and many years of management experience, he is an ideal addition to the existing Management Board team and will strengthen the strategic direction of the company.
