Founded in 1922, Privatbank Gutmann is a wealth management specialist and market leader in Austria. An 80 percent interest in the Bank is held by the Kahane family, another 20 percent by a total of nine partners ("The Gutmann Partnership Approach"). Gutmann currently manages assets worth over EUR 13.7 billion (Status as at 2011-12-31). Gutmann clients include domestic and foreign entrepreneurs, foundations and trusts, families, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional investors.

Our Private Banking team has been providing specialised services for wealthy international clients since the early 1990s. Beside our client base in Austria we serve clients from Central and Eastern Europe, Germany, and Latin America. We operate our own local branches in Hungary (Budapest) and Romania (Bucharest).  

Working out of Vienna offers great advantages owing to the city’s geographical vicinity and traditionally close relations to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Family businesses entrust us with the international and tax-efficient structuring of their assets. Increasingly, this also involves work in connection with business succession. We also maintain excellent contacts with The Family Business Network (FBN), with which we closely collaborate.

We have dedicated teams for services to international clients. These teams are specialists for specific regions and are well acquainted with the different needs of different markets. This enables our bank to tailor asset management to our clients' specific requirements. All of our staff take a lot of time for advisory sessions – and this in a total of 16 languages.

Beside its banking business, Bank Gutmann supports four long-term social projects (the Immanuel home for mothers and children run by Caritas in Vienna; Jugendhaus Wien; micro-credits in Guatemala and Peru).
